If Millan is to be described in one word, he is a dog specialist. The 53 years old (27 August 1969) was born to Mexican parents Maria Teresa Favela (mother) and Felipe Millan Guillen (father).
As his family lived on tenant farming, Cesar was always around animals. They had many dogs on their farms, which allowed him to connect with them differently.
With time, he became so good with the goods that he was known as “the dog herder” in his hometown. Likewise, as he grew older, he decided to go to America to pursue a good life.
Hence, he illegally went to America in his early-20s and now describes the journey as harrowing. In one of the interviews, Millan revealed that he could not speak proper English until he met Jada Pinkett.
Meeting Jada became the turning point in Cesar’s life. He worked as a dog groomer when he met her as a client in a store. Later, he shared with her how he dreamed of working with animals on the television.
