Lee Asher Faces Massive Boycott as Thousands Rally Against Alleged Animal Abuse at The Asher House!

The tragic story of Chevy, a young Dogo Argentino who met an untimely and unjust death after being rescued, has sparked outrage and mobilized animal advocates around the country. A petition on Change.org, titled “Justice for Chevy,” is gaining traction as supporters call for a thorough investigation into the practices of The Asher House, a well-known animal rescue organization led by Lee Asher. The petition, which seeks to hold Lee Asher accountable for the alleged mistreatment of animals and employees, urges authorities to revoke the organization’s 501(c)(3) status and to ensure justice for all affected animals and individuals.

The Heartbreaking Story of Chevy

Chevy’s story began with hope and excitement when he was saved from a euthanasia list at Apple Valley Animal Shelter in Southern California on June 14, 2024. His rescue was celebrated by animal lovers and advocates who believed he would find a loving home and the care he needed at The Asher House sanctuary.

Unfortunately, Chevy never made it to the sanctuary. Instead, he was transported to a boarding facility and then to an unqualified trainer at Valley Oak Dogs in Santa Ynez, California, where he faced deplorable conditions and, tragically, was euthanized less than 48 hours later.

In the last video of Chevy, he is seen being led back to an outdoor kennel with only a dirt floor, no food or water bowls, and in close proximity to other stressed and aggressive dogs. The chaotic environment was far from ideal for a dog like Chevy, who required a calm and supportive setting to decompress.

According to the petition, Chevy was never given a fair chance to adjust or receive proper behavioral assessments. Despite showing no signs of aggression during his transport and handling, he was deemed “aggressive” and euthanized without any documented evidence to support this claim.

Allegations Against The Asher House

The petition claims that The Asher House, which has gained a massive following for rescuing and rehabilitating animals, is failing to provide adequate care and transparency for the animals it takes in. Lee Asher, who has become a popular figure in the animal rescue community, is accused of profiting off the backs of innocent animals while neglecting their well-being and exploiting his employees.

Supporters of the petition allege that many of the animals rescued by The Asher House go unaccounted for, and some, like Chevy, never make it to the sanctuary.

In June 2024 alone, Asher claimed to have rescued over 150 dogs, followed by another 100 from a hoarding case in Oklahoma, yet only a small fraction of these animals have been seen or accounted for publicly. The petition raises serious concerns about the fate of these dogs and whether they are receiving the care they deserve.

A Call for Accountability

The petition calls on the Oregon Department of Justice, Oregon Department of Agriculture, Oregon Humane Society, and County Animal Services to investigate the allegations against The Asher House and to hold Lee Asher accountable. It also demands the revocation of the organization’s 501(c)(3) status, citing numerous breaches and unethical practices.

One of the most alarming allegations is that employees are coerced into signing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent them from speaking out about the mistreatment of animals and the unsafe working conditions they face. The petition asserts that some employees have been injured on the job without proper reporting to county authorities or insurance providers.

Seeking for Justice for Chevy and Others

Chevy’s story has become a rallying cry for those seeking justice and reform in the animal rescue community. The petition is not only about holding The Asher House accountable but also about highlighting the broader issues within the loosely regulated world of animal rescue. Advocates argue that without proper oversight and accountability, animals and employees continue to suffer.

The goal of the petition is clear: to ensure that no more animals are subjected to the same fate as Chevy and that those responsible for mistreatment and abuse are brought to justice. By shining a light on these issues, supporters hope to create a safer, more ethical environment for both animals and the people who care for them.

More on the Alleged Horrors at The Asher House

The allegations against The Asher House extend beyond the tragic story of Chevy. Numerous disturbing incidents have been reported, painting a grim picture of the organization’s treatment of animals. Here are some of the most alarming events confirmed by the creator of the petition:

– **Gorgeous and Guilty:**

In early 2024, two Tibetan Mastiffs owned by The Asher House mauled an employee, resulting in severe injuries that required 66 stitches. The attack left the employee with significant emotional and physical trauma, forced them to take an extended leave from work, and caused major financial hardship. Despite the severity of the incident, Lee Asher has reportedly offered no financial assistance to the injured employee, who has since created a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical expenses. – **Janey:**

A dog in need of medical attention was reportedly shot and killed by Lee Asher. The exact circumstances surrounding Janey’s death remain unclear, but it is one of several incidents where dogs have allegedly been euthanized or killed without adequate justification or humane measures.

– **Charles:**

Another dog, Charles, was attacked and killed by other dogs in Asher’s pack. The lack of proper management and supervision in the pack has raised serious concerns about the safety of the animals at The Asher House.

– **Jax:**

After a dog fight, Jax was shot and killed by Lee Asher and buried in a shallow grave on his property, near a running water source. The manner in which Jax’s body was handled has raised ethical and legal questions about the practices at the sanctuary.

– **Mugsy:**

Mugsy, a parrot, suffered a slow and agonizing death after being left in his cage while the flooring in the house was being redone. The noxious chemicals used during the renovation poisoned Mugsy, highlighting the negligence and lack of care for even non-canine residents at The Asher House.

– **Tony:**

Lee Asher reportedly shot Tony, a dog, on his property shortly after filming a “goodbye” video. The circumstances surrounding Tony’s death are questionable, raising the issue of whether it is legal to shoot one’s own dog in Oregon and whether this action was justified.

– **River:**

River, a dog with medical needs, was attacked and killed by other dogs in the pack. The petition creator argues that River was not provided with the necessary care and protection, leading to his untimely and preventable death.

– **Maeve:**

A French Bulldog named Maeve tragically drowned after being trampled in the property’s reservoir. This incident highlights the lack of adequate supervision and safe environments for vulnerable animals at The Asher House.

– **Wildlife:**

In addition to the alleged mistreatment of domestic animals, Lee Asher has been accused of unethical practices involving wildlife. He reportedly baited deer with apples on his property and then shot them dead. These actions raise serious concerns about whether he is registered and licensed with the Fish and Wildlife Department and whether these killings occurred during legal hunting seasons.

These are just a few of the disturbing incidents cited by the petition’s creator. The allegations suggest a pattern of negligence, mistreatment, and unethical behavior that has led to the suffering and death of numerous animals. Supporters of the petition are demanding a thorough investigation and accountability to prevent further harm to both animals and employees associated with The Asher House.

## Supporters Rally Behind Lee Asher Amid Allegations, Claim He Provides Second Chances for Rescue Animals

As the petition calling for the closure of The Asher House gains momentum, thousands of people have joined the movement demanding accountability from Lee Asher for alleged mistreatment and neglect of animals under his care. However, not everyone agrees with the accusations being made. Lee Asher’s supporters have come forward to defend him, vouching for his dedication and the positive impact he has had on countless rescue animals, especially those with special needs.

 Supporters’ Perspective

Supporters argue that many of the allegations presented in the petition are misleading or false. They emphasize that Lee Asher has made it his mission to provide a loving and supportive environment for animals that would otherwise have no chance of survival. One supporter addressed the accusations directly, stating:

“I’m reading her vicious lies on these pics. That was a picture of Tony when he was adopted, not when he passed. Lee was out of town when Maeve passed away, and River was very sick with constant seizures when she was surrendered to him. They all were given second chances at a beautiful life. He takes on special needs animals that no one wants and gives them joy.”

These defenders of Lee Asher believe that he is being unfairly targeted by the petition and that the stories being circulated do not reflect the true nature of his work. They highlight the extraordinary lengths he goes to in order to care for animals with severe health issues or behavioral challenges, offering them a loving environment where they can thrive.

 A Safe and Open Environment

Supporters also refute claims that the animals are kept in cages or unsuitable conditions. They describe The Asher House as a sanctuary where animals are free to roam and play, with quarantine areas available for those in need but without forced confinement.

“They are not in cages; they run free. Quarantine areas are open, but there are open crates dogs can use as some feel safe there,” one supporter explained, emphasizing that Lee Asher prioritizes the comfort and well-being of the animals in his care.

 Defending Lee’s Integrity

For those who know Lee Asher or have followed his work, his commitment to animal rescue is beyond question. They describe him as an ethical and hard-working individual who has dedicated his life to saving animals that others have given up on. One supporter passionately stated:

“He’s an ethical, hard-working, honorable man. This coming from an ethical, honorable, hard-working woman… unlike the woman posting this vicious hate.”

Addressing the Controversy Around Chevy’s Death

The controversy surrounding the death of Chevy, a young Dogo Argentino, has become a focal point for those both supporting and opposing Lee Asher.

Critics allege that Lee insisted on rescuing Chevy from the euthanasia list simply because he found the dog “handsome” and “awesome,” despite not having any prior experience with the breed, which was deemed dangerous by the shelter. Supporters, however, argue that Chevy was not put down under Lee’s direct supervision but by a third party. They clarify that Lee Asher does not make euthanasia decisions himself and does not have a “rolling euthanasia van” as some critics have implied.

One supporter expressed frustration with the misinformation surrounding the case, stating:

> “Well, Chevy was already on the euth list. Lee insisted on taking him because he ‘looked so awesome’ and was so ‘handsome.’ He had to sign a waiver to take this dog, whose breed he knew nothing about other than he was deemed to be dangerous, because the dog was good looking. Chevy never attacked or harmed anyone while under Lee’s ‘care,’ but he was made dead regardless. These places aren’t run like some hospital, with strict rules & guidelines with people who know what they’re doing, so the things you listed would be comfortable to you to support their killing ‘100%’ are a fantasy.”

This statement highlights the confusion and miscommunication surrounding Chevy’s death and the procedures involved in euthanizing dogs deemed dangerous or unmanageable. Supporters insist that shelters, not Lee Asher, are responsible for making euthanasia decisions, and that Asher’s role is to rescue animals and provide them with a chance for rehabilitation and a better life.

A Divided Community

The conflicting views surrounding Lee Asher and The Asher House highlight a deeply divided community. While the petition against him continues to gain signatures and visibility, his supporters are equally vocal in defending his work and character. They argue that the accusations are not only damaging to Lee but also harmful to the broader mission of animal rescue, which relies on the dedication and goodwill of people like him.

The debate over The Asher House and Lee Asher’s practices is far from settled. As accusations and defenses continue to surface, it remains clear that both sides feel passionately about their perspectives. Whether viewed as a hero or a villain, Lee Asher’s story has sparked an important conversation about the responsibilities and challenges of running an animal rescue organization, and the truth may ultimately lie somewhere in between.

Conclusion

If the allegations being made are true and there is concrete evidence to support these claims, then it is crucial for Lee Asher to be held accountable for any harm caused to animals and individuals. Transparency and accountability are essential in maintaining the integrity of any organization, especially one dedicated to the welfare of animals. However, if these accusations are not backed by solid proof, it is equally important to recognize the potential harm in spreading misinformation. People should not be driven by envy or a desire to pull others down, particularly when it concerns someone who has dedicated their life to a noble cause. In the end, the focus should remain on ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals and fostering a community built on trust and compassion.

Former Staff Exposes Lee Asher’s Evil Side Revealed – The Horrors His Fans Don’t Know!

In the age of social media, where influencers project an image of perfection and compassion, it’s easy to be captivated by their curated personas. Lee Asher, known for his viral rescue videos and promotion of animal welfare, is no exception. However, a troubling account from a former employee reveals a stark contrast to the polished image presented online. This is the story of Liz, a certified dog trainer, who worked at Lee Asher’s property and endured a traumatic experience that left her physically and emotionally scarred.

The Incident That Changed Everything

Liz, who was employed as an animal care worker, found herself in a dangerous situation after Lee Asher decided to adopt two Tibetan Mastiffs, a breed known for their strength and protective instincts.

Despite his apparent fondness for the breed, it seems Asher was unprepared for the responsibility and challenges that come with handling such powerful dogs. Liz, despite her qualifications as a trainer, was not hired for her expertise but merely as a caregiver for the animals.

Tragically, things took a horrific turn when one of the Mastiffs attacked Liz, inflicting severe injuries that required 66 stitches from her arms down to her legs.

The incident was so gruesome that Liz’s GoFundMe page includes disturbing photos as a stark reminder of the ordeal she went through. The emotional and physical pain she experienced is unimaginable, and yet, the reaction from her employer was nothing short of cold and dismissive.

Silence and Neglect from a Self-Proclaimed “Good Guy”

In the aftermath of the attack, Liz found herself not only battling her injuries but also struggling with the lack of support from Lee Asher. According to the source, Asher never reached out to Liz following the incident.

There were no phone calls, no messages of concern—nothing. Liz has been unable to return to work due to her injuries and has been left to rely on workers’ compensation and the support of her family to get by.

This lack of empathy is shocking, especially coming from someone who promotes himself as a champion of kindness and compassion.

Liz’s inability to work has left her in a dire financial situation. Her mother is trying to care for her and her children, but the financial strain is overwhelming. Despite being released for light duty, the nature of her profession—working with dogs—does not accommodate such restrictions, leaving her without income or a means to support her family.

@k9optima If you follow me, please consider donating to Liz. As trainers and animal advocates, it’s our responsibility to support our peers and community members when they need it most. And to all the Lee Asher diehard fans who might want to challenge me, go ahead – this is the right thing to do. #k9optima #leeasher #asherhouse #justiceforchevy ♬ original sound – K9 Optima

The Community Steps In

In a bid to help Liz through this challenging time, her friends and supporters have taken to social media, urging the community to contribute to her GoFundMe page.

The response has been heartfelt, with many people expressing disbelief at how someone who portrays himself as a beacon of goodness could abandon an employee in such a state of need. Yet, Lee Asher remains silent, leaving his former employee to fend for herself.

Controversies Surrounding Lee Asher’s Rescue Practices

This isn’t the only controversy surrounding Asher’s animal rescue endeavors. Recently, he has come under fire for his approach to handling dogs with behavioral issues.

Asher has been accused of euthanizing dogs without seeking input from professional behaviorists. In a series of videos defending his actions, he claimed that he would not keep an unsafe dog on his premises, stating that referring such dogs to behaviorists was pointless as they might revert to their dangerous behaviors.

This stance has raised serious concerns among trainers and animal welfare advocates. They argue that euthanizing dogs without consulting professionals shows a lack of understanding and respect for the complexities of canine behavior.

It seems that while shelter dogs are quickly deemed unworthy of a second chance, Asher’s personal pets are given different treatment, even when they pose a significant risk to his staff.

Hypocrisy and Double Standards

What stands out as particularly troubling is the double standard in how Asher handles his dogs. Despite his swift actions to euthanize shelter dogs for behavioral concerns, he has not taken similar measures with his own Tibetan Mastiffs. Instead, employees are required to work in an environment with these aggressive animals, armed with citronella spray, bite sticks, and tasers for their protection. This raises the question: why are the lives of some dogs deemed less valuable than others?

Social Media Backlash and Bullying Tactics

In the wake of Liz’s attack and the ongoing criticisms of his practices, Lee Asher has not shown remorse or concern. Instead, he has lashed out at those who dare to question him.

In a recent video, he shared the email of a rescuer who criticized his actions, effectively inciting his massive social media following to target and harass the individual. This tactic of using his influence to silence critics further tarnishes his image and calls into question his integrity as an advocate for animal welfare.

A Call for Accountability

The case of Liz and the broader issues surrounding Lee Asher’s practices highlight the importance of accountability, transparency, and genuine compassion in animal rescue work. It’s easy to project an image of goodness online, but true character is revealed in how one treats those who are vulnerable and in need of support—be they animals or humans.

Liz’s story is a sobering reminder that the reality behind the scenes can be far different from what is shown to the public. It’s crucial for supporters and followers to look beyond the curated social media presence and hold influencers accountable for their actions. As for Liz, the hope is that with community support, she can recover and rebuild her life, despite the trauma she has endured.

For those moved by her story, contributions to her GoFundMe are not just financial support but a statement of solidarity against injustice and neglect. It’s time to demand more from those who claim to be advocates and to ensure that their actions align with their words.

Dr. Pol announces the cancellation of “The Incredible Dr. Pol” after 13 Years: What Happened?

2024 has begun with challenging news for fans of The Incredible Dr. Pol. The year started with the departure of one of the show’s beloved veterinarians, Dr. Nicole Arcy. Following the birth of her son, Dr. Nicole decided to leave Dr. Pol’s clinic and join another practice to better balance her professional and personal life. Adding to the dismay, NatGeo Wild soon after announced the cancellation of The Incredible Dr. Pol after its remarkable 24-season run, marking the end of an iconic era in veterinary reality television.

The Departure of Dr. Nicole

Dr. Nicole Arcy, who joined the cast in 2019, quickly won over audiences with her friendly demeanor and dedication to animal care. Her decision to leave the clinic was influenced by the birth of her son and a desire to spend more time with her family while continuing her veterinary career in a new setting. Her departure has certainly created a noticeable gap in the team and among the show’s loyal viewership.

Behind the Scenes Challenges

The reasons behind the show’s cancellation have not been fully detailed by NatGeo Wild, but several factors may have contributed. The changing landscape of reality television, evolving viewer preferences, and the high production costs associated with maintaining a long-running series are likely considerations. Additionally, the physical demands and extensive filming schedules required for the show have been considerable, involving eight months of filming each year and capturing only a fraction of the veterinary cases at the clinic.

As Dr. Pol ages, it’s understandable that both he and his family might wish to alleviate some of the pressures associated with constant filming. Balancing the rigorous demands of the clinic and the show has been a significant challenge for all involved.

The Impact on Fans

The clinic will continue to serve the local community, providing essential veterinary care to a diverse range of animals.

Charles Pol, who played a pivotal role in producing the show, is exploring new opportunities within the entertainment industry. His creativity and experience suggest that fans can look forward to exciting new projects in the future. Diane Pol will continue to support the clinic’s operations, ensuring its ongoing success.

Expanding the Pol Brand

Dr. Pol’s ventures extend beyond the clinic with his line of pet care products, which have recently expanded into Europe. This initiative allows Dr. Pol to share his expertise on a broader scale, helping pet owners improve the care they provide to their animals. While the conclusion of The Incredible Dr. Pol marks the end of a significant chapter, the show’s legacy will endure. The series has left an indelible mark on both reality television and veterinary medicine, inspiring countless viewers to appreciate and care for animals more deeply. Dr. Pol’s mission to educate and promote animal welfare has reached millions, and his influence will continue to resonate.

As Lee met the new dog, a baby St. Bernard, for the first time, emotions overflowed. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he thanked the person who facilitated the meeting, acknowledging the profound impact of their gesture during a difficult time. “I can’t thank you enough for showing up like that,” Lee expressed, his voice filled with emotion. “The timing is so… she was like the closest dog I’ve ever had.”

In a poignant moment of reflection, Lee and his companion contemplated the significance of their encounter. They discussed the heartbreaking reality of shelter dogs being euthanized to make room for puppies, highlighting the importance of rescuing and rehoming animals in need.

Through tears and laughter, Lee embraced the newfound joy brought by his furry companion, acknowledging the healing power of love and connection. “I don’t feel like this is real,” he admitted, his voice trembling with emotion. “I’m in actual shock.”

In the midst of sorrow, Lee found solace in the love and companionship of a new four-legged friend, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity for healing through acts of kindness and compassion.

As Lee welcomed his new furry companion home, he carried Lillie’s memory in his heart, her light shining bright amidst the darkness. And in that moment, he found hope, a reminder that even in the depths of despair, there is always the possibility for renewal and love.

In sharing his journey of healing, Lee Asher reminds us of the power of love to transcend grief and the importance of embracing each precious moment with those we hold dear. And as he embarks on this new chapter with his furry companion by his side, he finds comfort in knowing that Lillie’s legacy lives on, her light guiding him through the darkness toward a brighter tomorrow.

TV vet Dr. Jeff Young saves ‘shattered’ leg of Serivce dog who survived in Colorado mountains for two months

A service dog in training, lost and surviving for two months in the frigid Colorado mountains, had her leg rescued by a reality TV veterinarian. Despite multiple other vets recommending amputation, Dr. Jeffrey Young, renowned from Animal Planet’s “Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet,” along with his wife Dr. Petra Mickova, treated Nova Riley, a year-and-a-half old Bernese Mountain Dog. Owner Robynne Simons-Sealy initially took Nova to a low-cost clinic without realizing it was Dr. Young’s workplace. Upon discovering Planned Pethood International in Conifer, Colo. was Dr. Young’s facility, Simons-Sealy expressed relief and trust in Nova’s care, recalling a positive experience with Dr. Young treating a different dog of hers decades earlier.

Last month, Nova, who suffered a “shattered” leg during her time alone in the wild, was joyously reunited with her owner, Simons-Sealy, a married mother of four residing in Conifer. Simons-Sealy, who copes with disabilities from a rare vascular disease, had been training Nova as a service animal.

Having consulted with multiple veterinarians, Simons-Sealy faced significant pressure to amputate Nova’s leg, with cost estimates ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 for a leg-saving attempt. However, her optimism soared when the clinic called, expressing their commitment to preserving Nova’s leg—an announcement that left Simons-Sealy “ecstatic.”

Dr. Young, speaking to The Post, shared his determination to give Nova’s limb-saving efforts his best shot, emphasizing that, in his view, Nova’s case was a “pretty simple fix,” and he never would have recommended amputation.

Following a recent surgery, Nova now sports six pins and two bars in her leg, mirroring the six pins and a plate in Simons-Sealy’s right leg. The owner humorously noted the newfound resemblance between her four-legged companion and herself, stating, “It’s funny that we now ‘match.'”

Young, whose show concluded its eight-season run in 2020, attributed the success of Nova’s procedure to his wife and affirmed the resilience of the partially external leg fixture, describing it as “bombproof.”

“The dog walked on the leg the next day,” Young reported. “Would it make sense to cut the leg off when it’s walking on it? I mean, the dog is running on it now. I’d prefer it not to be, but it jumps. There is nothing wrong with it. But it’ll heal.”

Simons-Sealy incurred approximately $4,000 in total expenses for her dog’s medical care, covering the initial emergency room visit and the subsequent surgery. Young expressed concern about the common occurrence of dogs losing limbs due to financial constraints.

“I think for a lot of vets, it’s about the money,” he stated. “We can fix this broken leg for $5,000 to $10,000. [Or] we can cut the leg off for $1,000 or $2,000.”

Despite the successful treatment, Simons-Sealy is uncertain if Nova can resume her duties as a service animal. Nova has exhibited difficulty following commands and increased anxiety since her return, leaving Simons-Sealy both thrilled to have her back and devastated at the prospect of losing her chance at a service dog.

Living with Takayasu arteritis, a rare disease causing inflammation of major arteries and potentially resulting in an undetectable pulse, Simons-Sealy does not qualify for publicly funded service animals due to the rarity of her condition.

Living on meager disability payments, Simons-Sealy faces the challenge of being unable to afford professional training for her furry companion. Determined, she sought assistance to train Nova herself.

Explaining the necessity of a service dog, she said, “The problem of blood flow to my brain can make me dizzy. A dog would help me stay upright or get help when I fall.” Her condition induces seizures resembling mini-strokes, and two days after Nova got spooked and slipped out of her harness, Simons-Sealy experienced one of these episodes, initiating Nova’s two-month absence.

During Nova’s disappearance, Simons-Sealy tirelessly searched for two days, leading to stress and fatigue that triggered a seizure. Recounting the incident, she shared, “I sat in my car, the phone fell out of my hand, and I couldn’t move. That’s why I need a service dog.”

Stuck in her car until someone noticed her, Simons-Sealy ended up hospitalized after the health episode. Then, about two months later, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, two hikers discovered Nova “at the very top of a mountain, hiding under some trees,” according to Simons-Sealy.

The success of their reality TV show is a testament to the impactful veterinary work they perform at their hospitals, reaching communities throughout rural Middle Georgia.

Expressing his long-standing commitment, Hodges stated in the release, “It has always been my mission to inspire the next generation of future veterinarians. With PVS, I am grateful to provide additional opportunities for veterinarians of color to assume leadership and ownership roles within the profession and their community.”

The grand opening for the new location was scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick, a captivating reptile exhibit showcasing Georgia reptiles, pet samples, and various giveaways.

During the filming of the first season of “Critter Fixers,” Ferguson highlighted that approximately 98% of veterinarians were white, expressing a hope that their success would serve as inspiration for young Black individuals to consider the profession. In 2013, an article by The Atlantic reported that white veterinarians constituted 96.5% of the total, making it the predominantly white profession at the time.

In a previous Telegraph article, Ferguson emphasized, “I definitely hope we can encourage young men or young women if they are African American that this is something they can accomplish if that is their dream.”

The show is broadcast on Nat Geo Wild, and the first five seasons are available on the streaming service Disney+. Hodges, sharing his personal journey from growing up in poverty in Fort Valley to achieving success and overcoming obstacles, has chronicled his story in his self-help book titled “Bet on Yourself.”

Dr. Jeff’s Hospital Location Has Changed. Latest Update on his Cancer and Health

Dr. Jeff Young is the founding member of the animal hospital and organization Planned Pethood International

Who is Dr. Jeff?

Dr. Jeffrey Young’s journey in the field of veterinary medicine commenced when he graduated from the Colorado State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. However, the seeds of his deeply rooted humane ethics were sown during his formative years, specifically during his tenure as an Animal Control Officer while pursuing his university education. In this role, he bore witness to the distressing instances of abuse and neglect inflicted upon healthy companion animals. This poignant experience served as the catalyst for his mission.

In 1990, Dr. Young took a remarkable step forward by founding Planned Pethood Plus, Inc. (PPP). Initially conceived as a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, it has since evolved to provide affordable full-service veterinary care. Planned Pethood became synonymous with its pioneering low-cost mobile neutering clinics, its compassionate work within Native American Reservations, and its commitment to training veterinarians from across the globe in more efficient surgical techniques.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Young has actively contributed to various Humane Society boards and lent his expertise to advise mobile surgical units spanning the United States. In the year 2000, he ventured even further by establishing Planned Pethood International, an organization dedicated to funding spay/neuter initiatives and veterinary training programs. In Europe, state-of-the-art veterinary training takes place in a hospital funded by Planned Pethood Plus, Inc. located in Bratislava, Slovakia. In addition to this, Planned Pethood International has generously financed a comprehensive veterinary hospital in Merida, Mexico. The proceeds generated by these clinics are reinvested into Planned Pethood International to support the training of veterinarians and the establishment of new clinics.

Dr. Young’s pride and passion lie in the remarkable impact he has made over the last 18 years. He has personally sterilized over 160,000 animals and has imparted his knowledge and skills to more than 300 veterinarians hailing from diverse corners of the world. His unwavering advocacy for early age neutering as a means to control companion animal overpopulation underscores his dedication to two simple yet profound missions: “significantly reducing companion animal overpopulation throughout the world” and “thinking globally while acting locally.” Driven by these principles, he continues to be an inspiring force in the realm of animal welfare and veterinary care.

About Planned Pethood International (PPI)

Dr. Jeff young Vet

PPI relies on your valuable support to accomplish its straightforward yet vital mission: “The reduction of companion animal overpopulation worldwide.” While this objective may initially seem daunting, the solution is refreshingly simple: channel efforts into spay/neuter campaigns, equip veterinarians with the necessary skills to continue this work, and develop culturally relevant educational materials that can shape future societal perspectives. No entity is more devoted to these goals than PPI, and your tax-deductible contribution can make you a part of companion animal history.

The practice of using limited resources to merely house a large number of animals does not constitute a solution to companion animal overpopulation. The only effective approach is to decrease the population, thereby elevating the status and ensuring the safety and well-being of these animals.

PPI has been providing invaluable training services to veterinarians from around the world. Under the guidance of Dr. Jeff Young, PPI has conducted sterilization campaigns and delivered presentations in various locations, including Slovakia, India, Panama, Hungary, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, and numerous Native American Reservations in the US. Currently, PPI is actively involved in hospitals in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Merida, Mexico. It’s worth noting that 100% of all contributions and fundraising proceeds directly contribute to reducing companion animal overpopulation, training veterinarians in safe and efficient spay/neuter techniques, and aiding abused and abandoned animals.

PPI’s Key Goals:

  1. Construct a state-of-the-art hospital in Asia with a strong emphasis on spay/neuter procedures, working closely with local veterinarians and animal welfare organizations.
  2. Continue addressing the issue of companion animal overpopulation through education, legislation, and spay/neuter programs, rather than resorting to animal warehousing.
  3. Invest in the proceeds from our active adoption program and donations to offer training and equipment to veterinarians eager to improve the condition of companion animals worldwide.
  4. Reduce companion animal overpopulation globally while enhancing the status of our beloved companion animals.
  5. Maintain support for our established hospitals in Bratislava, Slovakia, Merida, and our newest international training center in Puerto Morales, Yucatan, Mexico.

At PPI, we have never charged veterinarians in our program for the training they receive at our hospitals, and we always provide them with accommodations and meals during their training.

Furthermore, PPI firmly believes that in the 21st century, it is insufficient to solely focus on spaying and neutering. We strongly advocate for the provision of low-cost, full-service veterinary care to all, especially those who may not have the means to care for their furry family members.
